Just seven days new, Maya was an absolute dream to photograph, making this family’s first portrait session together a truly unforgettable experience.
A Calm and Beautiful Beginning
Our session began with individual portraits of baby Maya. With her tiny fingers, delicate features, and peaceful expressions, she was already a natural in front of the camera. As a newborn photographer in Perth, I know how rare it is to have a session where the baby doesn’t shed a single tear — but Maya was calm and content throughout, gently snoozing and cooing in the warm, cozy setup we created for her.
First-Time Parents, Timeless Memories
After capturing those once-in-a-lifetime solo images, we moved into family compositions. These are always some of the most emotionally powerful frames — a new family of three, together for the very first time. The love between Maya’s parents was radiant, and it was clear that every glance they shared with their daughter was filled with awe and tenderness.
Mummy & Me, Daddy & Me
To complete the session, we took the time to photograph Maya with each of her parents individually. The soft connection between mum and baby was beautiful to watch — skin-to-skin cuddles, gentle kisses, and quiet moments full of emotion. Then, it was Dad’s turn, and the proud look on his face while holding his daughter said everything words couldn’t.
